Frequently asked Questions

I'd like to address some of my most frequently asked questions. If you don't see what you're looking for below, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'd love to chat with you!

I typically coordinate between 15 to 20 weddings a year. Most of my weddings fall between April and October but I always love off-season weddings too. I typically only do one wedding in a weekend but it depends on the circumstances.

How many weddings do you Coordinate per year?

I don't see your prices listed.  How much do you charge?

There are many factors that I must take into account when quoting prices. Things such as location, guest count size and overall needs for the wedding affect the price. After our first chat I should be able to give you an accurate price quote.

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Yes! I believe that love is love. I would be honored to serve you in the special time, and I will ensure that your entire wedding vendor team is dedicated to the same level of caring, accepting service.

What areas do you typically work in?

I generally work from the Bay Area, over to Napa/Sonoma, all the way to Lake Tahoe and everywhere in between. A majority of my weddings are in the greater Sacramento area but I love working in Tahoe, the City and wine country.

How far do you travel for weddings?

I will go anywhere my clients want to take me with them! I have done weddings as far as New Jersey and am patiently waiting for the clients that want to fly me to Hawaii or the Caribbean {wink wink}!

What is the average budget of the weddings you design and coordinate?

Most of my weddings fall in the $30K - $75K range. I can sometimes coordinate weddings for less but it depends on a lot of factors. The highest budget wedding I have ever coordinated was about $250K.

What size weddings do you typically coordinate?

I typically coordinate a wide range of guest list sizes. Many of my weddings fall in the 75 - 150 guests range. I have done weddings as small as 25 guests and as large as 700 guests! No wedding is ever too small or too big.

How would you describe your style when designing weddings?

If you look through my portfolio you will see that I don't have a specific style when it comes to designing weddings. I really look to my clients for inspiration. I prefer to use colors, textures and the overall style that my client is drawn to. In general, I love color. But I have done my fair share of gorgeous ivory/blush weddings as well.

We don't have a wedding date yet.  Can we still book you?

Yes of course! I have many clients that I start working with before they have a date. Often booking your venue will set your date and if you are just starting the process then I would love to help you find the perfect venue!

How far in advance should we book you?

Most of my clients book me 12 - 18 months in advance. But I have planned weddings in just a few weeks!

Will working with you save me money? Do you get discounts that I wouldn't get otherwise?

Yes and no. I do have some vendors that offer discounts because you are my client. I think the biggest value I offer is the ability to get you THE BEST vendor that fits within your budget and style. I have vendors in lots of different budget ranges so I can ensure you have the best of the best.

We live far away.  Can we still work with you?  How does that work?

Yes! About 75% of my clients live out of the area.  I'd like to think I have perfected the ability to work with people from a distance. I often only need you to come into town one time where I will set up a day or two of vendor appointments. This gives you a chance to meet your vendors, sample food and cakes and be able to see all of the design elements in person. All other work we can do via email/text.

I only need a Day Of Coordinator.  Do you offer that service?

It is nearly impossible to step in the day before a wedding and ensure the whole day runs smoothly. I need at least a month to get caught up to speed on all of the planning you've done, get in contact with all of your vendors, review contracts, create the timeline and much more. It is imperative that I know all of the details of the day before stepping in as your day of coordinator. For this reason, the smallest package I offer is Month of Coordination.

Do you offer other services besides the three packages listed here on your website?

Most of my clients fall into one of the three packages listed                on my website.  But if you feel you need more of a custom package, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss how I can best meet your needs.  I also offer design and consulting services on an hourly basis.

What other kinds of events do you plan?

I love planning other events besides weddings!  I plan a lot of celebrations such as birthday parties, anniversary festivities, vow renewals and bar/bat mitzvahs. I also coordinate non-profit events such as fundraisers or auctions. I am always up for any kind of event!

Do you have other staff?  What about on wedding day?

As stated earlier, I take a lot of pride being the leader of this one-woman show!  For planning, it is all me . I truly love working one on one with my clients. On wedding day, I always have at least one assistant with me. Sometimes I bring more assistants as needed. That doesn't change the price for you. I bring as much staff as I need to support myself depending on the logistics of your wedding.

We are having a cultural wedding.  Have yoU ever done a {insert culture} wedding?

I absolutely love planning cultural weddings! In the past I have coordinated Indian, Pakistani, Greek, Mexican, Chinese, Laotian and Jewish weddings. I love immersing myself in the different traditions of each culture and I would love to hear more about yours. If there is something I have not done in the past I am committed to educating myself prior to working together to learn all I need to know.

My venue provides an on-site coordinator.  Do I still need your services?

This is a common misnomer. On-site coordinators at a venue are looking out for the venue's best interests.  I am looking out for your best interest. I will be there by your side throughout the whole planning process, attend your vendor appointments, manage communication with all vendors, help with design and logistics and much more. On wedding day I will be there until the very end of the night tending to your every need. On-site coordinators often leave after dinner and leave the rest of the night to the banquet captain. I work at countless venues that have on-site coordinators and ultimately this is just more people who are there to ensure the day runs smoothly.

Who has the final say over what vendors and elements I choose for my wedding?

You will always have the final say on the vendors you choose and elements you want to incorporate into the wedding. I will make recommendations, give you advice, help you decide when you can't decide between two, but ultimately it is your wedding and you'll always have final say.

What is the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding designer?

A planner deals with all of the logistical elements of an event whereas a designer deals with all of the aesthetic elements of an event. Logistical elements include hiring vendors, creating schedules and making appointments. Aesthetic components include designing flowers, lighting, stationery and tabletops. I am proud to offer fully integrated planning and design for all events.
